Hunan City Restaurant in Hurricane

My family & I have always enjoyed their food & service. They are so kind & very friendly!! I have never liked Chinese food, but this is the only Chinese place I can eat at. Their food is always hot & fresh. The restaurant is a little older, but they still keep it very clean. I highly, highly recommend!

Food is tasty and authentic and the service is friendly. The tables are moderately haphazard as they are stuck in a strip mall. But it is all clean and the food was very hot very fresh.

I love this place. I've been to a lot of Chinese food places, and they are for sure not all the same. This place has really good food, and very generous portions. All the food is made fresh, and fairly quickly for being made to order. The owner/cook is very friendly, and other staff has always been super nice as well. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a good meal. They have takeout, or eat in, and although it's small, the ambiance is pretty cool.

We enjoy Hunan City. Our favorites are Orange chicken, sweet n sour chicken, and General Tsos. The flavors seem to taste authentic Chinese and are usually consistently flavorful. I wish the place was a little cleaner is all.

I'm local and go here often. Food is always consistently made and turns out amazing every time. BEST in St. George area by a long shot. Reasonably priced and worth every penny. Owner and his family are always kind and respectful. If I could give more stars, I would.

The food here is amazing. Fresh tastes and perfectly cooked veggies and meats. The sauces weren't heavy and overdone. Best Chinese in the area.

It takes a little while for the food to come out, but it is well worth the wait. This is by far one of the best Chinese food places to eat in the Southern Utah area. I have been let down by so many others in the area, but not by this one. Every time we go here we leave full and have leftovers. The place is great and well worth the money spent.

The food is made to order and honestly it was pretty tasty. The downfall is the price. $18 for take out for 1 order of Generals Chicken with fried rice and an order of Cheese Ragoons is more than I've ever paid for Chinese takeout for a single meal. I will stick with the Chinese Buffet, the price is better, the food is just as good and you can get a variety of flavors in one sitting.

This place makes fantastic food! We always get their Orange Chicken and Wonton soup! The employees who run Hunan City are actually Chinese too!

Ordered an vegetable delight and a pair of vegetarian spring rolls the food here was fresh and tasted great

The broccoli beef was top notch. The egg drop soup tasted like water though. Everyone working there was really kind so that made up for it.

Picked up some takeout on my way home. They don't skimp on the portions which are definitely worth the price. The food was delicious! This place is a diamond in the ruff.

Szechuan pork was not spicy, actually bland. Long wait for food, despite being told it would be 15 min. Bland hot and sour soup. Egg drop soup was beyond bland, very disgusting. Won't return.

Pretty good food and very friendly people. The waitress checked in every now and then to make sure we had everything we needed. The cook even came out and talked with us to make sure all the food was good and just to talk which I thought was pretty cool. Definitely will go again even if we're not really going that way.

Ordered take out sweet n sour chicken and broccoli beef. It was ok, nothing special. Looks like they may have been in the middle of remodeling the inside of the restaurant (hopefully) it needs it. Won't be coming back. There's to many other better places to eat.

Best Chinese food in southern Utah. I go 15 min out of my way to go here. And there is one closer to me. This is the only Chinese place I will go to. I get their sesame chicken meal, and the fried rice.

The good was the two people working there were nice. The bad was the food. It was terrible. Ordered two different dishes, Orange Chicken and General Chicken. When the plates came out they looked exactly alike. The chicken seemed like it was frozen and bought by the bag. It was breaded and fried. The ham rice was just that, rice with little cubed ham. The egg drop soup had corn and cubed carrots in it. I have had American style Chinese food all over the USA. This was nothing like it. While I do not expect authentic Chinese food in Utah, it should at least be entertaining. The other dinners that reviewed this restaurant and have it five stars are out of their mind or those were planted reviews.

Not good, price was high, did not give me lunch manual. $11 for small fried noodle will never go back again.

The atmosphere is lacking and seems a bit chaotic and messy. They must not have much storage in the back as much of the front is used for storage and not organized well. Despite this, the service was good and the food tasty. We will be back. It is worth going for the food but isn't a place for a nice dining experience.

The service was good, the building old but not dirty, and the food was brought to us piping hot. Unfortunately the quality of the food was terrible. I've never eaten such "squishy" chicken before, the ham fried rice was SUPER SALTY, the soups were weak, and the egg rolls were tiny and filled with only cabbage. To their credit, all of the food we received was fresh, and they were handling a large group at the same time but our service response time didn't suffer. Total for two was 30 bucks....not the most expensive, however, unless the quality of the food improves I will not be returning.

Out of all the options you have in Hurricane Utah, this one is by far, deservant of title "top five". I have been dining here for 15 years now. They have all the classics at very reasonable prices. They have been spot on with two different take out orders for groups larger than 15, and over all very consistent.

This is a nice family run business and a great place for a affordable bite in a sit-down setting - especially on Sunday nights when most other places in town are closed. The dinner combo is a healthy portion.

We eat here once per week. Great food, friendly staff, healthy options, great prices. Our only complaint is the egg drop soup is a little bland, but not enough to knock off a star.

This place is great! Friendly staff and fast service. We ordered the family lucky meal to go and my order was ready in 30 minutes. It’s all very good! We had the sweet n sour pork, generals chicken, house rice, hot and sour soup, and crab Rangoon and egg rolls. It was about $25 great price a lot of food fed 3 of us. I had their orange chicken prior at a friends house and feel in love!

Our family eats here all the time. Great food with friendly staff and excellent service. Reasonably priced as well.

The food was wonderful and authentic. The music was at perfect volume, and I could still have a conversation. The decor was a little more old school and some might say "Tacky". But I think that it is a cute little place with it's own unique charm.

Excellent food and service. A $10 plate of General's or sesame chicken gets you a very large portion of tasty, Chinese goodness. We would definitely eat here again if we travel through Hurricane, UT another time.

Warm, fresh, and easy take out. Excellent dishes, in both size and cost.

Goog portions and they accommodate any special requests.

Small family restaurant.. always fresh good food with very reasonable prices.. Even spent a Thanksgiving there one year, better than turkey. Don't be shy give it a try. Sweet and sour pork delicious. Lot's of good choices.
